This implies that the big successful companies aren't hiring anyone at all. That's simply not true. Granted, the top cup is getting somewhat bigger, but they work hard for that and it's not a bad thing. There is still plenty of trickle down happening. Not as much as if things weren't being sent out to cheap labor overseas, but there is still trickling. The top 5 companies in the U.S. employ almost 2 million people. That's called trickle-down.
Math is clearly not your strong suit, so you might want to just stay out of economics.
But if the top FIVE companies (out of approx 30 million companies) are employing 1% of the population, it's doing a pretty damn good job.
The minimum wage jobs are much better than no jobs at all. If people arent living the lifestyle they desire, they should work harder/smarter to go get it for themselves. That individual drive is why this country has prospered so well since its birth. The drive for a better quality of life needs to come from the people (who are capable), thinking that a government can or should is a pipe dream. Socialism is a great theory with regards to fairness but human nature will never allow it to sustain over time.

How people think Government will work with collecting more for taxes. How government will really work.
