Can I just point out that you would actually never baby wear like this? When you back carry, they face inward. Also those carriers are made for front carry only. OMG internally dead.
If only we lived in a world where such anecdotes were actually a viable basis for statements of fact.
We're not born with racism, but we sure as heck aren't born without it either. We aren't born with much of anything at all.
In fact, babies (generally) are comfortable around things that they've learned to be comfortable around. It is perfectly likely that a baby will be uncomfortable around someone who looks different than their parents do. It's just how the brain develops.
On the other hand, it could also be argued (and I know how bad this is going to sound) that babies actually aren't smart enough to be racist. They haven't matured enough to make associations and stereotypes odd their own.
What came first, the racist or the egg?
