This drives me nuts. You're kid isn't 42 months old. He's 3 1/2. I know you're upset that your child is growing up, but just say he's 3. I don't tell people I'm 300 months old, so don't do it with you're child after 1 year

Until around 3 years old, months are important milestones in a baby's development, which is why their age is referred to in months, you fucking idiots.

They are important milestones and a few months of difference in age can be a lot but the point is that most people don't care. I have two little kids and I don't keep track of months like that. Only did for the doctors. They were the only ones who seemed to care about it.

^ I agree, unless someone is asking about their milestones (ex. Is he walking yet?) they just want to know in the simplest terms how old the kid is
