I used to play the trombone. It's an... imprecise instrument. With a slide instead of stops or note keys, you just kinda guess. It's kinda like, "ehhh, close enough." I didn't get very good, but it was fun to play.

Just played a piece by John Mackey, Kingfishers Catch Fire, and the director told us that we needed to take two dynamic levels off all the fortes because if the guy played it on his speakers and he couldn't hear a part, he would just kick it up a dynamic level so you get ffff a looot

In drumline we called it AFLAP whic stands for "as f***ing loud as possible"
