Does it really matter so much, you HAD to comment an unnecessary correction to something that varies from region to region? Therefore, making the original not incorrect, but just different?
... half the fun of local terms is trying to correct people from other regions. am 99.99% sure they were being silly. Incidentally i am from wisconsin so the whole pop/soda/sodapop thing is a big fricken deal cuz we use all three.
