Because you dont HAVE to refrigerate them. I dont because theyre normally gone in a couple of days. It is recommended you refrigerate them if you plan on keeping them for a week or two (idk how long they stay fresh)

They're good for three weeks or so if they're kept refrigerated, but anytime longer than that I recommend putting them in a bowl of water to check them. If it floats, toss them.
