In a game I played if that happened the game would respawn you again and say "Let's pretend that didn't happen"

When i was playing halo 3 my friend pushed me of a cliff in and he fell off in the process and it check-pointed right before I died and it reloaded right before i died over and over to fast for me to hit pause and we had to turn off the system and start over from the beginning.
