Being ashamed of your body is not a good thing especially when body hate could be the source of the problem. Sure being healthy is important but I don't think anyone should tell another to dislike/be ashamed of the way they look/are.
I'm overweight, but then I also suffer from depression and PTSD. I'll probably kill myself from mental illness long before any physical problems have a chance. Yet people who have no right to say you should feel bad about yourself? I'll never understand it.
I jog 3 miles a day and can probably do laps around "skinny" people who don't exercise. But my PTSD medicine makes me gain weight. Unless I literally starve myself I don't lose a pound. And I'm okay with that because I'd much rather live to be 60 than kill myself tomorrow.
The point is people struggle with weight for more than just one reason and berating someone who has probably hated themselves for being socially unacceptable at some point is just going to lead to more problems for them, mentally and physically.
Ah, but the only way to test that would be to go off my medication and then if it doesn't fix it, i'll probably end up in the morgue since it takes 2 weeks to get the medicine back in my system. So really, what's better: a risky experiment or a few extra pounds? I'm perfectly happy at last, and being happy is a truly wondrous thing.
I think it's good to have a certain amount of self respect, but you are going on and on about how you would end up in the morgue but being overweight will do the same. Eat healthy, keep up the good work exercising and you will naturally lose weight.
Hey flyingtrooper, you sound like " Hey scroat you just should just do it just you you you should just cause just stuff and ME ME I AM AMAZING but you should just should!" I hope you made it out of high school with a diploma.
'NO, FUCK YOU.'
