I think generally when you interview someone asking for an opinion on something people will respond positively as some other experiments have shown. Also I don't really think you could call these people apple fanboys if they can't even tell ios and android apart. There are some pretty distinct differences between the two.
Yes you can call them fan boys because they were told that this was the NEW, yet to be released iOS, when in fact it is the current Android release.

A system that they know nothing about because they blindly follow the latest Apple trend like sheep without comparing their options. If they weren't cult of Apple trend whores they would have recognized Android immediately because they would have done their homework on which device and system best suits their needs. I'm not saying that they would have chosen Droid instead, maybe Apple is still the best choice for them, but they would have at least recognized it.
