We have this theory at the store I work at. Customers are attracted to the piles we JUST GET DONE FOLDING and ruin it all, instead if neatly grabbing one. Plus you can see the damage in the back. Also, a secret is that it's probably just one towel up there on a piece of molded foam
There are no OCD people. There are only people with OCD. Not only is it grammatically incorrect to say Obsessive Compulsive Disorder people, instead of persons with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, it's also a really douchey move that marginalizes people that struggle with OCD.
You can't be a disorder. You can only have a disorder. Saying I'm OCD is the grammatical equivalent of I am Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which is not true. Saying I have OCD is the grammatical equivalent of I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
.... of course you can't be a disorder. But it's a way of saying you have OCD, grammar doesn't play a part in some 'sayings' (and It's not the only one).
Anyway, why are we discussing this?
It's an incorrect way of saying it, grammar does play a part. It's worth discussion because I have OCD and I go to support groups for people living with OCD and literally all of us get pissed off when people who are only a bit particular walk around saying "i'm ocd" ... Do people joke about having depression? schizophrenia? it's the principle behind it.
Anyway, why are we discussing this?
