Similar to animals, or some autistic people, deaf and blind people (most likely) think in touch, taste, or emotions. They think by association of things they already know. Their minds probably don't function at as high a level of consciousnesses as a typical person unless they are taught language/a form of communication, as in the case of Helen Keller.
You should probably drop that teacher they may be retarded. A deaf and blind person can clearly think unless they're also brain dead (which we don't really know what happens then). Just because someone doesn't know a language doesn't mean they don't assign their own titles to words. They still have nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. they just use their own, which are not limited to our existing language structure.
ballsonyourface, you are wrong. my friend's sister works in a facility where these people are treated. without any audio and visual impulse since birth they just do not develop such things as language. it may sound harsh but basically it goes like this: 2 taps on the shoulder of the patient = there will be food. but it's just Pavlov. yes, their brain actually should work normally but without all those information that a healthy human being receives from hearing and seeing, and without any interaction with your surroundings (and don't tell me touch and smell only is enough for such a highly complex thing as homo sapiens sapiens' brain), it just won't have the nervous paths.
In that case, you might also be interested in "Communication With Deaf Blind People", a little outdated, but no less fascinating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usaf3bVVvjY
There is also a youtube channel where a blind man answer all kinds of questions, like how blind people dream: https://www.youtube.com/user/TommyEdisonXP
Furthermore, the TV series, Switched at Birth, gives an interesting insight into the Deaf/hard of hearing community.
There are cases of people who didn't acquire language until late enough in life that they can remember what it was like before (e.g. deaf people who didn't initially have access to specialized education, kidnapping victims who were never socialized). Many of these people say they had rudimentary thought processes based on concepts, but that learning words or signs allowed them to articulate much more complex ideas in their minds. A person who never learns a language would likely think similarly.
