7 million college students defaulted on their loans this year in the US. If it takes $50,000 to learn how to speak Spanish, and $250,000 to learn to pull a tooth, and three times that to learn to diagnose flu and haemorrhoids, no wonder we've lost hope.

I'm tired of people constantly complaining about the cost of college. Most people don't understand how costly it is to run a college. Many small, private colleges barely make it from year to year and there's nothing they can do about it.

The president of UCF Orlando makes two million dollars a year. Most large universities pay their administration like they're rock stars, while high school teachers in the same city make so little that they qualify for government cellphones. In the meantime, the interest the government makes on the college loans would run a coupe of small nations. College must not be a business. We cannot continue to bleed dry the individuals we expect to be our economic security. If colleges cost so much to run, colleges spend too much on themselves.

Oh wow. Who would've thought that a president would make more than a high school teacher. They definitely have the same level of training and they definitely have the same leadership roles. They're two completely opposite job types. Yes, they're both in education, but they have substantially different roles. And anyways, that is a state funded university so they do have more money. I specifically stated "most small, private colleges" in my first comment.
