The video has a real mixture of people in it, that girl is the biggest one in the video. There's people in the video who don't like how skinny they are etc... Watch the video before you criticise it.
As you said, there is a mixture of body shapes. They're not implying real women are curvy and this girl missed the point. They're implying real women aren't photoshopped, don't have 16 layers of makeup on (if you watch the behind the scenes of the VS fashion show, they do an average of 16 layers of body foundation to hide any cellulite) and come in every shape and height. She had a point but she made herself look like a tool but not picking a proper example.
I didn't watch the video, but I think we can all agree... "Real Women Have Vaginas".
*awaits inevitable shitstorm (you know the one I'm talking about)*
The models are real women, but their pictures aren't. Their pictures are hours of photoshop and crazy amounts of makeup put together to create an unattainable image of what women should look like.
srsly the majority of the professional shoots/videos i see about "real" women include skinny, the point is more "not models who are also photoshopped to unrealistic standards" of course theres always SOMEONE complaining on EVERY one that their body is not included, like you can include EVERY body type in 5-8 women.
Not to mention, she's risking the knees and backs of the EMTs who'll eventually have to load her into an ambulance for those same heart conditions, as well as the orderlies who'll move her once in the hospital.
And this is not me being an ass. It's a very real concern that if I stay in this field too long, even with proper body mechanics, I'll end up injuring myself permanently.
And that's to say nothing of the lowered quality of life for ANYone in less-than-ideal health.
It's product advertising people chill. The models are pretty so you'll buy clothes. If a cheeseburger looked like crap would you want to buy it? No you wouldn't same concept with models.
Morons, and the models are not real women?! Such body are achievebal, of course it has something to do woth genetics, but getting and keeping in shape, looking after what you eat is possible.
Yes it's possible when that's what you live to do. Unfortunately majority of us don't have that luxury to spend our lives focussing on what we look like, that's the life of a model though. If you don't exercise and diet to the extremes they do then that's fine, but healthy looks different on everyone. That's what people mean by unrealistic. A model dedicates her life and work to how she looks, an average civilian can't afford the time to do that
the point is kinda that they models AND photoshopped, so best genetics, best possible physical health AND THEN we shave off chunks of their bodies because they still didn't look sexy enough
There are plenty of women in the video who are not overweight but do in fact have "humiliatingly small waists". It's called real women because the video shows women of all sizes, which she would know if she watched it. Instead she assumed that everyone in the video was overweight just because of one picture of one woman. Buzzfeed often creates body positive articles meant to bring light to unfair beauty standards and she is only making things even harder for all women by making this post. Good intentions, bad outcome.
Seriously I love when people have a whole crusade but never actually read the articular. "Real women" included several different body times. So now you are boo hooing because you have a good body and you didn't like the headline.
Now, I think that everybody can be accepted. But, if a person cannot take care of themselves to the point where they become either starved or, err, horizontally gifted, that is not attractive. But sometimes these people just need help. Some might have disorders or might not know how to check a nutrition label. But what is disappointing is that some people do know what they are doing, yet continue on, and if they are rejected, they whine about acceptance. Unless they try to solve, and I mean REALLY try, not just go to a gym and do nothing but stand there, then they are wrong.
"not attractive" such an opinion :) hell i'm still overweight and i ran into an ex who was disappointed my thighs got smaller because, while overweight, i am less overweight than when we dated.
"The media says..." LOL...most criticism comes from other women. Most of the biting criticism comes from other women as well. But "Society says" and "The media says" let us blame something other than us.
Swimsuits are not only made for slim ladies but also for over-sized ladies. I really appreciate this lady for carrying swimsuit so confidently. Many women are embarrassed to wear swimsuits or bikinis because of their size or skin issues like cellulite and stretch marks. But there are ways through which one can overcome these issues like regular exercise, proper diet and massage. One can have a peek at https://www.cellublue.com/fr/ for further information.
I watched that video. This woman is right. And I'm tired of people saying unhealthy is okay. I get criticized for being too thin and yet I can't critisize a size XXL woman eating freaking McDonald's
Natually Curvy is fine. The woman on the right and several other women in the video are unhealthy and overweight and yet for some reason nowadays pointing that out is being "intolerant"
just like pointing out to someone they have a broken leg, people who are overweight are aware of it. no one thinks they are skinny when they are fat, this "pointing it out" bullshit is why people who are skinny think they are fat.
Oh really? Then why is there an online movement of people saying fat is beautiful (unhealthy) and how we should be more accepting and worse, there are parties where thin people aren't allowed in the door?
one person doing something wrong does not justify being wrong to others, sure theres some people who have been targets for being fat for so long that they hate on all thin people, thats not a reason to continue being rude to all overweight people, just like black people who hate white people are not an excuse to keep being racist, or folks with cognative disabilities who hate neutrotypical people an excuse to be mean to others. am sick of the examples of people who are shitty being an excuse to be shitty. don't be shitty to people just because "they aren't healthy" thats so stupid you don't know them you are not them you have no room to judge anyone.
hell you say you get criticized for being thin... then you know how it feels! that's all the more reason to know NOT to say shit to people who are on the other end of the spectrum.
The real woman is on the left, a natural beauty. If you seen the behind the scenes video of the VS show, you may recognised that Candice Swanepoel is a stunning beauty with and definitely without makeup. So stop telling people that the fat ugly cow on the right side is beautiful and a "real" woman because at the end of the day every man is choosing Candice over this fat ugly cow and every woman would sell her soul if she had the chance to look like Candice. Stop making ugly fat people feel good about themselves. Everybody just cares about looks!! It is how it is ;)
