But, its still a masterpiece! Does anyone here know what the Mona Lisa is painted on without looking it up?

Mona Lisa only became a masterpiece after it was stolen and returned. Popularity doesn't immediately equal a masterpiece, even though the Mona Lisa is pretty good. Also the Mona Lisa was most likely a practice painting in a class because more versions exist.

You know much more about art than i do but i believe you missed my point. Insert whichever "masterpiece" you like into my example. My point is that the material that a masterpiece is created on has very little to do with its qualification as a masterpiece. Premium canvas, napkin, or a ink on skin....its not about the canvas.

Intelligence without beauty is like a blank quality canvas

But 1) the canvas has more worth than a napkin 2) in the right eyes that canvas is art and 3) all it would take is the right person to turn that canvas into a masterpiece

Closer to a scribble on a professional looking canvas.

Because they look good but mean nothing worth while.

yeah this is better, my first thought is the post was the OPPOSITE cuz a masterpiece on a napkin is like someone whos personality is wonderful and super smart but like nothing to look at.
