I think Mr murica is teaching us something important. Screw the fact that we have different opinions about things. He went to visit the pope inspire of their different thoughts. At the end of the day we are all humans and if someone has their own POV then maybe we should respect that because they must have their reasons. We never saw murica waging war because another country is not doing what he has done. That's the best thing about him :respect for others opinion
Thethirdi, you're telling me if a woman gets raped and the rapist gets her pregnant she is not allowed to get rid of the constant reminder that she was raped. So she'll have to look into the eyes of her child to see the child has the same eyes as the rapist and the same smile? Or she'll put it up for adoption so the child never knows its parents and someday learns she was the result of rape?
Bronnygirlxoxo, you're telling me if a woman goes and has lots of sex with lots of different men that she is allowed to abort all the babies she could have had. For some people having a baby made them better people yet they are reckless and it's okay to take life. Better yet POTENTIAL from the world. What if Albert Einstein's mother had aborted her, sure hiroshima would be happy but we would have lost a great thinker who contributed so much to humanity. Idc what women do it's their bodies but each side has an argument and I love arguments
"abort all the babies" people do not go having tons of abortions, its expensive, its traumatizing, its scary and its something you end up having to keep secret because of all the people so vehemently against it. and who cares if the woman who needs one has sex with one man or many men? why is that relevant? bringing children that cannot be cared for into this world is the real crime.

I think you misunderstand some people. People are crazy. I know someone that's had 6 and brags about it (not a friend but someone known). I'm saying its not every woman no but those women who have abortion after abortion are generally not with one person.
Deviledapple, I agree to an extent. In some countries, abortion is used as a form of birth control. I don't have a statistic for this claim, but my cousin living in turkey has known some woman who have had upwards to 16 abortions.
However, according to the Guttmacher Institute, 21% of all US pregnancies end in abortion. If you look at the statistics for nationwide rape that results in unwanted pregnancy, it's about 5%.
to be clear, i am not the one who made the rape argument. i do not think that is the only scenario where you can have an abortion and so do not use it as a argument for why abortions should be legal. you can be the most careful person in the world and still get pregnant and that does not mean you should be forced to have a child if you are not in a place in life where it makes sense. even the phrase "if you do not want it" doesn't do most women's situations justice, i think a great many of us WANT them but are not in a place to HAVE them and there is NO reason to treat a pile of tissue the size of a bean as a real child and call it murder, this is the same logic that made masturbation frowned upon, since every sperm and and every egg is ALSO half of a potential life... blah blah blah this isn't an argument i feel like having on here today, but long story short, i do not think rape is in any way a logical limitation for who can have an abortion.
For real though, why punish the kid before it has a chance to be a kid? That just doesn't sit right with me, you know? I mean I'm not saying I have the answer, but there has to be a better answer than this. Thats all I'm saying man.
I wouldn't call it punishment. You're making sure a kid isn't born into a world that won't love them. One less kid to be stuck in an orphanage for God knows how long. One less kid to possibly be resented and/or abused.
Idk it still doesn't feel right. I understand there are situations such as rape that cause problems and throws off any generalizations that could be made for abortion as a whole, but I'm still not sure that it is the right answer. But hey, down vote me for trying to have a level headed debate and talk session.
yeah because healthy, well adjusted, financially stable women in healthy relationships are of COURSE using expensive, risky, and painful procedures as a form of birth control. Idiots. Adopt a crack baby. Then I'll believe you that abortion is NEVER the right answer.
thethirdi, people are not downvoting you for "trying to have a level headed debate and talk session." Theyre downvoting you because they disagree with your opinion. You can be as civil as you like, doesn't mean people are going to agree with you.
the whole point of a up/down vote is to express and opinion without being forced into an actual debate about it. there really is no purpose in arguing something you know your mind is not going to change on, and you know the other persons mind is not going to change on.
Nice fake story, retard.
