So you're putting a tattoo over a bruise that will go away but leaving a tattoo on the spot you were hit to remind yourself where you were hit? This concept doesn't make sense to me.
I understand domestic violence is no joke and a very traumatizing experience that no one should ever have to go through

and wouldn't the pain be intolerable because it's on a bruise?
It's actually deep muscle bruising that will likely be there for years if not forever. You get them from traumatic blows, usually blunt force. I have some on my stomach and right leg from a car accident and I can say, without a doubt, it's been a year and they haven't went anywhere.
I respectfully disagree to those who's state that the tattoo would remind them of a bad time in their life. It would be a reminder that they got out, they survived and moving on to something more beautiful. The same for women who have lost their breast to cancer and had their chest tattoo into something beautiful. It's about the survival.
