From what I've noticed, it takes fifteen minutes for the likes in a post to show. So there were most likely people before you who also liked the picture.
If you refresh, then you'll notice it goes back to "... likes " if you did it before the 15 minute mark

And also, being "first" holds no weight. You're the first person to like one post. You'll forget in a week.
Not only will you forget, the person who posted will never know exactly who it was who liked first. So there will be no record of you ever liking it first.
