I don't find it very funny. I am not against her at all, I was just putting in my input because I dont find it very funny, but it doesnt matter what I think soooo
The instatwitbook kids would have free rein over FS, which would pretty much doom the site to the mediocrity of reposting text from other, more popular sites, for eternity. Or at least until the next global mass extinction, which we seem to be doing our damndest to bring about in a timely fashion.
No, please think about this. We say then, because she is referring to a period of time, the hair dye eventually wearing off. Then is usually used as an adverb to convey a consequence, subsequently, or afterwards. When we use than, we are referring to a comparison, like: I would rather have pancake than waffles. See, we are comparing pancakes to waffles, therefore we use the term than. So, the guest was correct in their use of then.
the user could also be saying that solving problems like the rapunzel one holds a greater importance in comparison to solving math problems. Depending on whether the user intended the "this" to be used as a precedent to math homework or to be seen as more important to pay attention to than the math hw, the "then" could be either entirely correct or misspelled. The user's meaning could be read differently which affects which word should be used. But, yes, it can be correct just as it is. Did not mean to cause a whole argument chain. Sorry about that
The only way that "then" would be correct is if the user meant "This is more important, then math homework." The lack of a comma makes the sentence one long comparison.
that would be approx. 11 hours. and 40 minutes
