Actually,what is known as the American accent is the original British accent?The British changed it because it sounded more high class,while the original accent kept by Americans never changed.

Actually the current English accent was always the high-class English accent, which was shared by most high class colonists in early US history. As the upper class lost power and influence in England their accent spread to the lower classes and became the common accent, while in the US living in a very different land in very different ways slowly changed their accent to the various accents found in the US today.

Yeah, most Burgers I know say it pretty similar to the Canadian accent.

Did ANYONE say the FIYAH bit out loud? I said it thrice and then proceeded to laugh each time...Dumbledore dressed like a gangster! Oh god...I am still laughing
