How come traditional lamps are orange and not white? Can anyone explain?

The white light messes with animals and in most cases gets them killed, example would be sea turtles hatching. If they saw the white light they would head towards it.

The hatch on the beach and near by parking lots or street laps would attract them towards vehicles

evry light messes with animals in the night. That's because they orientate on the light of the stars and the moon, but the man-made light is much brighter which lets them focus on it.
