But aren't jellyfishes supposed to sting ?

Apparently there's a lake where jellyfish once upon a time got stuck in due to flooding and/or draining and there were no predators there so they didn't have to sting to protect themselves. Thus they lost their stings and jellyfish are now fucking everywhere but they're harmless.
