1. Not all mental illness is depression. All of these cartoons imply depression - a cursory understanding of depression at that.
2. Neither depression nor mental illness manifests the same in every person. Some develop anger issues, some feel physically sick, others just inexplicably feel "off."
3. Physical injuries and illness, despite what these cartoons show, don't always elicit sympathy and understanding. The longer the injury or illness lasts, the less sympathy people tend to give; if they gave any at all. Ask anyone with a long term physical injury how many people have suggested the problem, pain is all in their head.
4. You're not depressed or mentally ill. Turn off the phone, laptop, computer, stop making ridiculous cartoons attempting to explain a concept you know nothing about and get on with your life.
Slowly I've been able to control my schizophrenia. So yeah I believe you can control ,asshole. I wouldn't talk about something if I didn't know about it.

but the first person said have they tried not having it,
Don't get me wrong, I nderstand the point.. But that's why these are physical and mental illnesses are mental.... And the mind is a very powerful thing.
Second one should have something about his hand not his mind, the fourth one doesn't make sense because there would be no worry of a drug that doesn't alter your mind changing who you are, and the last one doesn't make sense because lying in bed actually won't help mental illness, generally.
