It really isn't that bad. Like, I rarely even see a spider, much less a snake. I do live in a city, though

I've been to Aus a few times and I've never even seen a kangaroo there, never mind a deadly snake or spider.

One thing I've learnt from living in Australia is that the smaller animals are sometimes the most deadly! For example a blue ringed octopus is tiny and the deadly jellyfish are about the size of your finger and transparent!

As an Australian, I have never seen a seen funnel web spider, blue ringed octopus, box jelly fish, seriously, the only thing you need to look out for is the assholes. Then again, I live in WA where all the FIFO's live
