As a salvadorian l, it is my civil duty to inform you of our Lake. So basically, scientists are still testing the waters, but they believe that it is caused by an algae bloom that happens every couple of years. They also believe that this could be caused by the volcano (the lake is actually a crater of el Volcan Cuatepeque)
