* you're. I live in the US, so I am not referring to other cultures where that kind of hairstyle (or more bizarre ones by our cultural standpoint) are the norm. I am adhering to that beauty standard because it looks terrible. It is possibly a product of upbringing, but a half-shaved head looks good only on the unshaven side or the shaven side, but not both. Sorry, you cannot win a debate with a straw man argument.
But that's the point you say it looks terrible, but that's just your opinion not fact. In the end beauty is subjective, just because you don't like it dosent make it bad and just because it's a perceived social oddity to you dosent make it so. Also look up the definition of a straw man argument, your using it incorrectly. Also you should look up Japanese cultural hair styles, Native American, African and some islander....the have all and continue to have partially shaved hair styles as their culture.
*you're using "your" incorrectly. I did concede that it was my opinion. My perception of it being a social oddity does not make it so, but the fact that it is a social oddity does make it so. I know what a straw man argument is, I was using it properly. Your argument was "there are many cultures where a woman with a shaved head or very little hair is the norm and there you would be the minority". My argument was not predicated on cultures where that is the norm. Additionally, my argument is not about shaved heads, it is about half-shaved heads. So it absolutely is a straw man argument on the grounds that I did not attempt either of those points.
And I liked that the Antagonist and Protagonist never met each other.
