See poor people fill their house with junk because they dont have much so they think more things the better. But rich people have almost empty rooms because they think it is not what you fill the room with it is how much each item cost. So they have little to nothing in the room to make you wonder how much they spent on each thing.
I think you're missing the point. Rich people can simply afford having this big area left empty, they have like 5 rooms, they can set them as they wish, have separate room for clothes, separate storage etc.
Poor people? They have small flat where they need to fit everything, beds, wardrobes with clothes, dishes, towels, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and so on. I was growing up in the flat which was 36 square meters big. we had two tiny rooms, tiny kitchen and tiny bathroom. do you really think we didn't leave empty space because we thought the more things the better?
