Once my doctor said 'so what seems to be the problem?' And being the smart ass teen that I am, I said "I don't know, you tell me." Not my proudest moment, as my mum heard.
I know some doctors personally, and other than the obvious, that you'd then tell them symptoms you've experienced that are not accuring know, some people need that. I've heard multiple stories, especially about the elderly who are alone and have said things like you're the only person who asks me about my life or the only person who touches me etc. And they've saidafter that day, they'll always give that opertunity for a hug or to talk about their problems. Maybe they're depressed.
Doctor's professionalism is the moment you treat them like shit and they still smile. You're sick? You think they don't know? Shame on you. You see your unwell friend and not ask how they're doing? Isn't it heartless? They need to see if your problem is real, or affected by your mentality, that's one of TONS of reasons doctors do that. And by the way, the post is not funny. Not living up to Funsubstance, does it?
