This is still on YouTube. The embedded video still counts as a view for the creator, and any ad you watch still benefits the creator. It's equivalent to just watching it on YouTube.

The problem is when people re-upload the video to Facebook's player. Then the creator (on YouTube) gets no view and no ad revenue, and thus has no reason to continue taking their time to make awesome content.

That's why I never watch things on facebook like freakin Soflo Antonio. All he does is put his face in front of viral videos and he doesn't even give credit or a link
