Its well known that wal-mart has many affiliations with u.s politicians. And use the political system to pay their employees shit and then have the u.s pay for healthcare and food stamps.
That's because bagging groceries is supposed to be for teenage kids in highschool. That job isn't supposed to sustain a whole family. Jeesh you type of people along with the Mcdonald protestor are the reason what's wrong with this country.
Except a minimum wage job should be enough to sustain a family of at least 3 to 4, it has in the past sustained a whole family. That's one of the points of a minimum wage jobs. Not everyone can afford college but no one wants free college. So if not everyone can afford to go to college they should in fact be able to live off the only jobs that will hire them.
@summer There are many jobs out there for people that don't go to college and they pay more than minimum wage. None of my siblings have gone to college and they all get paid well. They may put in more hours than they would if they had a college education, but they make more than enough to support their families.
Walmart pay is competitive or better than comparable jobs in almost every market. Walmart also provides benefits retirement profit sharing and stock purchase options. Get your facts straight before spouting propaganda.
Everyone I've met that works at Walmart hates working at Walmart everyone I've met working at Winco loves to work at Winco. Winco is a lot better than Walmart in many ways it had cheaper prices, better quality stuff, and treats the employees fairly. Winco is hands down one of the best grocery chains in the country.
I actually really like WinCo. My mom and I sometimes shop there, even if it a ways away, because we can easily buy in bulk. Almost like Costco, but in regular proportions for cheaper than usual rather than larger portions for still cheaper for that size. I first got a neuro bliss there and since then it's been my go-to drink to calm down. They're much cheaper there than at target or safeway
