@blackbanana Actually calcium fluoride is essentially insoluble in water, so it's not really much of a hazard. The main danger is inhalation of CaF2 dust. However, in contact with strong mineral acids CaF2 can produce hydrogen fluoride which IS extremely dangerous and absolutely WILL kill you from the skeleton out.
Okay, so while the fluorite part of the computer would be toxic, we might be able to encase it in plexiglass or something. That way, it would be hard to break and not be very much of a hazard because it's all contained.
