Yeah the actual reason is when you are cold the goosebumps and hair allow less air circulation around your skin so it feels warmer

It does not just feel warmer: it is warmer, because the layer of air captured by the goosebumps and air create a thermal isolation, helping your body stay at, well, body temperature.

Well, it's a very tiny muscle in the integumentary system. And now it just tells us when we feel cold, are scared/nervous, and when the song is a really good one

Well, what if everything is true? What if for some reason, we got goosebumps even when we are alone, there IS a "predator" that we can't actually see?
