I was told as a kid never to play tug of ward with a dog because it was stronger than me and if I lost (and it was an aggressive dog) it would start trying to assert its dominance over me. It's nice to see that this dog is so chilled about it
Tug with a dog is just a game that needs rules. My great dane will play tug with anyone, but as soon as the words "all done" or "drop it" are said, it's game over. That's the important part, because there's an element of control.
I use "drop it" as the command for my dogs, too. It's extremely important to teach them that one, in my opinion. I've used it before when one of my dogs was eating a squirrel and he wouldn't let it go before I used the command, haha.
Internet has ruined me
