Another example of how fame beats out true bravery and strong will to stand up for something real. Malala did something to make a difference for other women when so many were against her. THATS TRUE BRAVERY
As if she was the first or the only trans woman. Such a trashy society where she, her daughters and all her family get recognized and awarded and even paid for doing nothing but exist... in a trashy way btw.
Wasn't it a sports award? Why would they give Malala a sports award? And Arthur Ashe got the same award because he came fowl rd about his aids. Coming out as Trans especially when your a sports icon is really difficult, that's why she got the award.
ESPN Arthur ashe bravery award and woman of the year from Glamour magazine. Glamour magazine! Do people really take awards from a fashion mag seriously? I'm rolling my eyes about this.
i think this one is referencing the second thing, woman of the year award. like i was totally down with the first one, former athlete big in the news doing something huge and brave no matter how you wanna argue it, made sense. but i really think woman of the year is pushing the envelope
Honestly I don't really mind him, but all the awards he's gotten are just bullshit. just because he's not afraid to say he feels he's a woman it doesn't mean he deserves all this praise for being "brave". Big woop.
Question: I have just done some research. I know very little about this award, but Malala does not appear to have even been one of the nominees for the award. Am I reading the wrong things?
bravery award from a sports company - sure it makes sense enough, i can see it. woman of the year? not so much. like i get that they are trying to drive home the point that we need to recognize trans women as women but i disagree with the base notion that this was the model woman for the year.
