I would've loved to sit around with Tolkien and just talk for like a month. How the hell you put that much back story into a book and write a language blows my mind...and he wasn't even finished :(
oops... hit enter to soon.... That should have said no one cares other than the few people who are obsessed with comparing the two... The book was great, the movie was great. End of story
I was about to say damn lol. I also enjoy both. I was just stating how in depth and detailed Tolkien's work was and how great it would've been had he finished.
i wish... i wish more people could just... enjoy movies... without picking apart how true the story line was. stories are art and art changes across different mediums and why is it so hard to just appreciate a different interpretation? i mean i get it ONCE IN AWHILE they shit all over parts of a story (like whatever the tv series for sword of truth was called, i only watched one episode so maybe the rest were better but they shit so hard over a deep important multilevel character i couldnt handle it)
