My mom said they used to do this in the U.S. (in the sixties and seventies I guess?) a cop might pull you over and give you a reverse citation if you weren't driving like a fuckwit
Well I mean it WAS the sixties... Its not like people were in the screaming hurry they're in today. Plus I'd imagine I'd be so relieved to not get a ticket that I wouldn't even think of it
Thanks paxxy! His shirt says Toronto too- a huge city with tons of crime. He could find something more productive to do than this.

You guys should go on a ride along sometime. It can be really slow and boring at times, especially on day shift. This is something that they're doing when there isn't anything else to do.
Fine if he has nothing to do why not do something for the ridiculously large homeless population in Toronto? There's just always something more productive than this.

What is it you think he should do? Damn even if police do something good people are going to bitch about cops

What do you expect them to do? I think this is a great use of down time. Cops can be treated with fear and something like this improves the public perception of them.
Police do something nice, let's bitch and complain about it. Man they just can't win! What the actual fuck. Finallysignedup, what do you do to help the homeless, since it's so easy for you to say what others should be doing?
I actually volunteer at a soup kitchen a few times a month and work with an organization that collects coats and winter gear for the homeless. All I'm saying is taxes are very high and maybe the police department needs to look into their budget and scheduling

That's not what you originally said though. How do you know the police don't regularly do stuff for the homeless. Maybe they do that in there personal time

Those things wouldn't really be practical for when they're on duty because they have to be able to respond very quickly if something happens but that is a great thing to do in their personal time like stoner said.
I don't care about their personal time and personal choices. I'm saying that I see hundreds of dollars of my paychecks going towards taxes. And I don't want my money going towards this when it may very well be possible that rebudgeting or reassigning officers etc. could cut taxes if they really do have this extra time.

It's not extra time. Go on a ride along and ask how police work is. I don't know how to make it clearer for you.
,not all of them
