In the Extended Universe, Boba Fett survived and killed the Sarlacc creature, emerging from its remains. He then went on to kill a Jedi knight with nothing but his hands, a feat which very, very few non-force users have ever managed to perform. Even as a much older man, his combat skills were the envy of many. He is shrewd, cunning and lethal.
