I don't know... that looks like a pretty nice place. It's a cute tree concept but it doesn't strike me as something someone put up because they couldn't actually afford a tree. More like the Christmas day decorations for the mudroom or something.

Me too, it's like a very "no hassle" Christmas tree, but.... pretty!

Love it! My dad raised my younger brother and I as a single father after my mother passed away. Even though we weren't in the best place financially, I wouldn't trade the relationship and bond we have for all the money in the world. Truly, all your kid/s need/s is you, your time, your love, your support and the knowledge that they can come to you with anything. All the best. <3

If you are unable to pick up a tree, parenting doesn't seem like a good idea. Unless this is caused by crazy high alimony.

I'm not. I know that a tree isn't that costy, so if you don't have the funds, how are you going to provide the things a kid really needs? That's called concern, you jumped to conclusions. And yes, I know the costs involved in raising a child. This makes me worried.

It may simply have been that he didn't want to deal with the hassle of an actual tree, which lets face it that's all they are! Artificial trees take lots of time to put together and decorate and real trees leave needles all over.

Or, you know, people spend a lot more during the holidays and although he may have a well paying job with excess money to spend, he wants to spend as much as he can of it on his kids? Which is actually A+ parenting. I know our tree, which isn't half bad, cost $70, but that's still a lot of money if you were to spend it entirely on presents.
