I'm happy that didn't happen.

He didn't even know Chewbacca until they were both already adults. Han was an Imperial solider and Chewie was enslaved by the Empire (they made it legal to enslave all Wookies if they were caught outside of their home planet). Han saved Chewie and obviously left the Empire and became a smuggler, and they remained together from then on.

My heart hurts... So, so much... The feels are back to haunt me.
