Ok to be fair the British carrier isnt a full size carrier. Mostly because the British navy likes to use the jump jet types like the harrier jet unlike the US navy who uses conventional fighters with a steam catapult system that requires a large runway unlike the harrier jet that doesnt require a full size runway. To clear up any confusion the eurofighter typhoon is used by the RAF.
I like the fact that the US Navy is replacing steam catapults with railguns (EMALS) to fling fighters into the air. Royal Navy is lagging behind in this department, although we now have robotic munition delivery on the deck :D...
