The teacher meant a season as in fall, summer, etc. but the person thought the teacher meant season as in television.

That's easy: Road Construction Season. We have this in Michigan. It starts in April, lasts through October or early November. We give thanks in late November for the end of Road Construction Season. In late December we give gifts of shock absorbers, new tires, hubcaps, and the very popular re-alignment as gifts to prepare for the coming Pot Hole Season. But, that's a whole another season.

That's amazing, we just so happen to have this in Pittsburgh as well, except here they're always fixing like the same five or six roads while neglecting the ones that actually need to be fixed.
