"Oh Romeo, Romeo
Wherefore art thou Romeo
Deny thy father and refuse thy name
Or if thou wilt not
Be but sworn my love
And I'll no longer be a Capulet"
Transcribed from memory, you uncultured chicken potatoes
T'is but thy name that is my enemy,
Thou art thyself and not a Montague.
What's a Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, nor arm, nor face...
Nore any other part belonging to a man.
Oh be some other name! But what's in a name?
That which we call a rose would smell as sweet.
Romeo would, were he not Romeo called,
retain that dear perfection which he owns without that title.
Oh, doff thy name, and for that name, which is no part of thee, take all myself!
.
Also from memory. I wonder how far we can recite if we pool our Romeo and Juliet knowledge? :)
Ha! Yes, let's do it :)
Want to start from when Romeo sees her? "What light through yonder window breaks?" Or did you have another starting point in mind?
OK, so the scene starts when Romeo sees her in her bedroom (through the balcony doors glass) after he climbs over the wall. I'll start as Romeo :P
.
What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun!
Rise fair sun and kill the envious moon who is already pale with grief that thou, her maid, ar far more fair than she.
Be not her maid! For she is envious! Her vestal livery is but sick and green and none but fools do wear it! Cast it off!
Wherefore art thou Romeo

Or if thou wilt not
Be but sworn my love
And I'll no longer be a Capulet"
