Yeah...Jesus comes to teach us the love from God, but also teach us to pray for the sinners. Not closing our eyes for the sins of the mankind, but show us that God is merciful when when regret our bad ways. Homossexuality is a SIN, but not a CRIME, however KILLING a human is a SIN AND A CRIME. Is it so hard to understand?
Homosexuality is a sin according to the bible. But so is divorce, greed, anger, lying, even eating in excesive amounts is a sin (gluttony)... in the end, we're all sinners.
Still, Jesus says: "Forgive 70x7 times" , "Love your neighbor" and there is no stop to that. He doesn't say 'Love only IF they're straight', 'Love only IF skin color is the same as yours' , 'Love only IF they do things the same as you'.
well, we can love and accept people because really we are all sinners, but we can not be tempted to think that what we do bad is justified for it. Why, what's good is good and what evil is evil, and poor fellow whose reverse it. Soon, the same God who loves us, is what will make justice on earth. If you have doubts, just read the book of Revelation.
As well as the final acts appear in the book of Revelation in Genesis of the book are also frequent punishments towards the disobedient sinners and those who do not repent, such as the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, basically because of what you mentioned: divorces, lustful, envious haters, greedy, liars, and homosexuals. It was considered guilty not only who did such things as who consented to be done. Since the God of Genesis and the Apocalypse is the same and unchanging, we can consider that loves us giving us a time of grace to reflect the way we live, and learning the truth of His will, not make ourselves of the good guys, but for demonstrate that it is possible to be a little more worthy of this His own love.
If you believe that homosexuality is a sin, then the difference between homosexuality and greed, anger, lying, etc., is repentance. You can't truly repent from something you actively do.
I think that better clearance gives determining homosexual act as sinful and leaving the being homosexual. Sometimes this is a thing you cannot control. One should always be able to avoid having sex with people of the same sex, and live on as a good person.
I do not think homosexuality is a sin, I KNOW IT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SCRIPTURE, even you approve it or not. I also know that killing a human being, and not even give the possibility he borns is also something horrible, turning a womb in a tomb. This is why, the prophet well-said, "I will take vengeance, and shall not spare none of them." And if you call it hate, I tell you it's just rage from the malice.
I'm not hating it. You said it right. Love shoul be the base of human communication. I just can't understand your "argument". You speak like you didn't really know what to say. It has nothing to do with my comment. That were you up to???
I don't care if a fellow catholic told me that they believe marriage should be between a man and a woman. Saying that doesn't make you a bad person because you still acknowledge that they're still humans and aren't outcasts or bad people in general. This is completely different to homophobia and it upsets me when people confuse the two. And for other Catholics out there that are homophobic, go educate yourself, you're only hating the very people God told you not to hate (everyone in general) and if you say that you have the right to judge them because "you can't marry unless it's between a man and woman" because it's in the bible, Then you should be decent enough to know that God also said that "no one can judge you but me" besides if you base your morals around the bible, then you also believe that slavery is a natural and normal thing as well as polygamy.
Well said. It's the first time I stumbled upon a post that takled about religion and wasn't commented mostly by haters (of which most were terribly wrong). It's really uplifting. :-)

Love no matter what, accept people as they are.
