They actually have to help you with or without health insurance. Just they stack up your bill and if you have to stay in the hospital they will only treat life threatening problems. But if it is something that can kind of wait they will insist you have a way to pay it. My aunt needed her heart worked on and they told her she needed health insurance or a means to pay for them to start the surgery. But when she went in a few years before that for her appendices they removed it right away. Even though she didn't have insurance.
They thought my mom might've had breast cancer and she had to gather up the money to do the additional testing (the mammogram was free, or nearly free but the follow up tests were definitely not) breast cancer people! And the doc was stressing her saying things like: Well the longer you wait, the worse it can spread... Like she was just waiting for fun
Yeah, with the way the conservatives keep messing about with health care in the UK. I struggle to see how it's going to become sustainable in the next 5-10 years...let's not blow our horns too soon eh?
I had BRAIN SURGERY about 7 years ago when I had no health insurance, before Obama Care. With Obama Care this no longer happens FYI. It cost about 250k and I never could afford paid it... Who could? The bills went to collections, debtors called. After 7 years... It disappears off your credit report, no problems here. Said it once I'll say it again. If you don't like the USA than get out, or stay out.
My "turning into a jerk" was related to the seemingly constant posts on hating America. Which I received alot of negative replys last time. The hospitals will not let you die if you cannot afford it.
