I had woodshop, electronics, cooking, and photography at my old middle school, now as a high school sophomore, most of these aren't available to me yet or ever :(
The sad part is that when I read this I didn't even know what "shop" meant. I thought it was some business-related class until your comment explained it a little bit. Heck, at my school, driver's Ed, (I don't even know what it was called!) that home class where they taught you how to sew and etc; all of those aren't offered. There needs to be a Life 101 class that tell you how to actually do things instead of memorizing things for tests, then forgetting everyhing two seconds after you take said test.
Yeah. Woodshop btw is just building birdhouses and shelves and stuff like that, electronics was working with circuit boards and soldering and other cool shit...the classes were hard but I wish I could take them again. Would've loved to work even harder at em. It's sad how planned and precise to our future our classes have to be :c
I was in Taiwan for almost a year an it was SAD. They went to school for 9 ish hours a day not really learning anything practical. Only learning how to pass exams. They couldn't seem to understand anything else but school. They also had a hard time once they were out of school. They didn't know what to do.
School: Offers band, general music for those who don't play an instrument or sing, offers wood shop, metalworking, drafting/CAD
Students: When are we gonna use this. Ugh, more stuff to do, I have too muich already, how do you expect me to get into college without the calculus and composition I now can't take due to this new stuff? It's already hard to get in six hours a day of Facebook and Twitter, like I barely have time for Instagrm. I better make some memes on how lame society and my stupid school make me do stuff.
