Actually, we're perfectly fine with gays. Our only problem is with gay marriage, because the christian definition of marriage is between a man and a woman with the intent to make children. Since a gay couple can't make children, they can't get married. Going off of that, the only reason we're against gay sex is because it doesn't produce children, and assuming that the two aren't married (because that wasn't a thing until recently) they would be having pre-marital sex, which is a BIG no-no.
Honestly though, the whole "gay marriage is an abomination" thing is pretty stupid.
Actually, there are favourable depictions of non-procreative, pre-marital sex in the Bible, namely the Song of Songs. Furthermore, nowhere in the Bible is marriage defined as being between a man and a woman.
A lot of the Christian opposition to homosexuality comes from priests and minsters rather than actual scripture.
And let's not quote a book that's 2,000 years old and had to be translated or rewritten to fit whoever was in powers point of view, but most importantly it's 2,000 goddamn years old.
Okay, biblicly, homosexuality is okay. The PRACTICE of homosexuality is, however, sinful. YES, God does not make mistakes, but it says somewhere in 1st Corinthians that he made some people to be married, and he made others not to be married. He has everything planned for you before you are even born. He does make you gay (although i think a small fraction of people actually do choose to be gay but its a very small percent), but i beleive that means if he makes you gay, He is telling you that you should not get married, he set you apart to do something else. Also, gay sex is like really bad and people in the Bible did it and literally were destroyed for it. So, DO NOT HATE GAYS, the Bible says to love EVERYONE, but if you are gay, try to understand God's purpose for you, and everyone, gay or straight, should try to find God's purpose for their life
