Some scanners give the option of creating a pdf document when scanning. You can scan several pages and at the end it'll all come together in a pdf. Of course, sometimes the scanner is tricky, so you might want to play around before you decide to print 20+ pages. Sometimes you'll end up getting each page as a pdf, instead of just 1 document.
The library? Mine has some scanners around the building that you can use. You can make them all into images and then just lump them all into a pdf creating program, or something.

No, its just the first commenter seemed to imply that there's a way to turn a book into a pdf without the use of a scanner which is why I was confused. I know how to use a scanner and have one at home but scanning all those pages just seems like a pain
