This is probably less gay than many "bromances". In my book, being gay means you want to have sex and be together with a person of the same sex. However, I bet, there's probably less than 1% people that are 100% un-gay. Show me a man who never, ever glanced at a very attractive man with a certain, momentary little feeling, and I show you a man with very little fantasy and a pathologic amount of self-restriction. I guess women are probably just a little more honest.
Wanting to experiment with the same sex is not being gay. Also, it's actually a wide spectrum, so that there are very few people that have been "100% cis" their whole life.
