Every time I'd put up the holiday decorations, my Mom and Grandma would laugh at me, for being in the holiday spirit. Especially during Christmas. By the end of the day they wanted me to take the tree down. My family has successfully suck up all of my holiday spirit.
Thats just plain mean. Don't let them get one up on you. Carry on putting up decorations, even if its just a small display in your bedroom. Keep that spirit alive.
Well, my family is dead now (not kidding). But I inherited all of the Holiday stuff. They did enjoy the decorations, but they would make a big fuss about not putting them out, at first.
This post literally summed up my entire childhood, except it lacking at the violence part. My mom mostly just beat me up until she satisfied with the number of appearing bruises, and now she keeps asking my why I keeps picking fight at everyone

I'm sorry she hits you. Instead of being like her, though, be better than her and don't hit others.
A lot of adults don't realize that children are children. It doesn't seem like a hard concept but many adults just can't grasp it so they see any little mistake as a malicious act against them. So, instead of a confused scared child they see a rebellious ass-hole who needs to be taught a lesson.
My mom would pull my hair and smack me and throw me and scream at me and drag me around. Now she wonders why I'm depressed and have anxiety and hides in the basement the second I get home and don't talk anymore..
To iamsherlock.
This si the guest that got beaten up in the past and now beating people up. We, more or less, in the same boat. I recently entertain myself by imagining annoying people die in the slowest, gorest, death
