I understand the feeling. In 5th grade, I got the flu and was out for three days. The day I came back to school, I was given a test; I'm pretty impressed at the fact that I got an 80 on it.

3 DAYS? 80??
i missed 1 day and I'm confident I got no higher than a 60
The longer I've been out of school the less math I can do. All the basic stuff sure and the minimal stuff for everyday, but like all those equations? And forget something like trig!!!!
It's theorized that it would be better to teach young kids the concepts of calculus as opposed to arithmetic because it fits better with how young children think or something.

222daisy have you ever needed to use algebra or trig in your life after school?? pls I need to know
I do use math for things like checkbooks, budgets, shopping for a good deal like knowing what the price per unit of a product is, figuring out my miles per gallon, taxes... I use it at work when I am working on timecards, overtime hours, work bills... Sometimes I do use very basic algebra for things like to figure out percentages if I need to. Things like that. But I have totally forgotten all the details about sines, cosines, tangents, etc. I'm sure some people use trig but not most people in their everyday life.
@thorspoptarts2 or when I missed a week of school and came back to a missed test in pre-calc and then a quiz on the new unit we'd started after the test... that was fun
