We taught our kid to do these steps with bullies.
1. Say "Please stop you are hurtimg (me/my feelings).
2.If they don't stop, walk away.
3. If still don't stop. Say "Please leave me alone if you don't I will tell a teacher/adult.
4. If still won't stop tell an adult what the kid is doing and that she already tried telling them to stop and even tried walking away but they followed.
And if the adult don't help that is when school gets a call if it last more than a day or 2.
And thanks to this I only ever had to call a school once when a kid tormented her everyday and would even come to our house. We talk to her parents first but after that didn't help we got the school to do something.
Other than that or kid mets a bully hardly ever and after she does the steps they leave her alone.
We always supported and cared for eachother. People said it was weird, but we learned and valued that support and caring is the way to go.
Also we never got in trouble because we stuck up for eachother and others.
I need a safe area where I can be shielded from any speech or images that, even though they aren't really offensive, I may decide to construe as offensive. Oh, and I'm a grownup, so don't try to restrict my decisions. Plus, I need you to pay for my college.
